Its production sites in Trubia and Sama de Langreo, have had their Management and Working Risk Prevention System certified according to ISO 45001:2018 standard, since 2003.

Safety and health policy

Our priority and main target is focused on all safety and health related matters towards eliminating incidents, accidents and occupational illnesses

Management commitment is based on:

  • Taking the appropriate measures to prevent damages on the health of its employees, as well as protecting the environment and the company's assets.
  • Providing the necessary human and material resources, including information, participation, consulting and training for employees

In line with the Working Risk Prevention Law, Química del Nalón, S.A. has implanted a pro-active risk prevention system that guarantees safety and health conditions at work.

The target set is to integrate Safety and Health into the overall company management in order to achieve zero accidents and zero occupational illnesses.

In 2003, the company was granted the ISO 45001:2018 certification (Management and Prevention of Risks at the Workplace) for its Trubia, Sama de Langreo and San Juan de Nieva sites.

The logistics facilities at Szczecin (I.Q. Nalón Polonia, Sp. Z o.o.) obtained this same certification (Nº NC-1293) in 2005.

Since 2004, the production site in Trubia has had its own External Emergency Plan, with a detailed procedure on how to proceed in case of accidents originated inside that might have an external impact.
